The Database is currently built once you go into the Deck Editor, Card Database, or Inspire Me tabs, as they all need it, but once you leave the Deck Builder menu, it clears out the Database completely and then has to be refilled, since you could create some cards, then go back into the Deck Builder and it would need to be refilled otherwise the new cards wouldn't show up
You can have more than one card of each party creature type, but the party mechanic only counts for one creature of each type, and you only have one full party
